Desktop file browser and Multimedia Streamer
Programming
To develop application software that enables the user to access their personal computer through mobile devices. The system should also support streaming of the multimedia files and viewing simple text files. The utility of the application lies in the fact that it allows the user to be able to access their files stored on the PC at any time from anywhere. The system enables the users to view movies, listen songs, view image, and access simple files using their mobile.
The project involves developing the fully functional application that enables any Java enabled handheld device to be able to access the files stored on one?s PC. The system provides the multimedia steaming functionality to view any video clip, image, text file, and listen to audio on the mobile device without the need to store them. The system is useful in the sense that the memory available on the mobile devices is low and can?t afford to store large audio/video files.
