The Red Hat Scholarship (RHS)

• The eGURU programme, in partnership with Red Hat, selects the best projects for a monetary prize entitled 'Lord of the Code.' Students of B.E, B.Tech, M.Sc and M.C.A can participate in this competition.

• Scholarships worth Rs. 5 lakhs are awarded to deserving projects focussed upon solving practical, real-life problems important to Linux users worldwide. The scheme is a year-long programme that requires participants to submit their Project Proposal, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Design Specifications and Final Code.

• In addition to the scholarship, deserving participants would be offered national and international internships with Red Hat.

• Prize winning projects will be made available in Open Source under the Creative Commons licence for wider outreach.
